Silk Matte Instead of Gloss

The Silk designation refers to the silk-matte coating. The paper is coated on both sides and has an extremely smooth surface, which faithfully conveys the intensity of colors and fine details of images. The whiteness of the paper is given by the CIE 127 value – it is a distinctly white background on which colors do not appear gray.

The matte surface is appreciated by anyone who reads a document in the office under ceiling lighting or by the window: the page does not shine, the text remains contrasting, and the images do not look "faded" like on regular uncoated paper.

Brochures and Reports That Are Easy to Read

The grammage of 135 g/m2 is the thinnest in the matte series (also available in 170, 200, and 250 g/m2), and therefore it is excellent for inner pages of brochures, catalogs, photo books, and annual reports. A multi-page document remains light, the sheets turn and bind well. It is equally suitable for company presentations, price lists with photos, calendars, or flyers with more text.

When you need a thicker cover for such a brochure, choose a higher grammage of the same matte series – the surface and shade of the paper will match and the printed material will look uniform.
